Hello Holland! I am at sea and will look forward to hearing from you tomorrow. After only 2 1/2 hours at sea the Captain already introduced himself and told me he will be excited to hear from the Dutch public. after all, this is an award winning vessel and he is prous to discuss all the "greening" technology aboard.
A small start is that I noticed that there are 3 types of cans for recycling refuse in many places aboard the ship in the public areas. And during the lifeboat drill, we were reminded never to throw trash in the sea.
even in our rooms it is necessary to use a room key to turn on the lights so that no energy is wasted.Manana

A Dedication: Ship's complement will be short one naval officer tomorrow...
When we shove off at sunset, I'll be wishing Mother could have been aboard , but she had her own memorable sendoff...

Buket List Item -- How does the Ship's bell sound?
Found this photo of the Blessing of the Ship's Bell. I'm taking an electronic tuner to determine its tone. Must be the Welsh singer's DNA in me. So ,consider this a shout out to the relatives in Swansea and a very Happy 80th Birthday for Cousin Jean, a sparkly personality if there ever was one! Much love. I'll ask the Captain if I can ring in your birthday on the 18th as I disembark!
